About Hope for the Forgotten Outreach
We bring practical hope to those the world has overlooked:
one family, one need, one step of faith at a time.
How It All Started
After nine years of mission trips to West Virginia, someone who had been watching our work approached us and asked if we would consider doing this ministry in Michigan. I told them I would if I had help getting it off the ground.
That person not only helped us get started but has continued to mentor me ever since. It was the answer to a prayer I had been praying for three years.
Why "Hope for the Forgotten"?
As I prayed about what to call this ministry, I asked Jesus for direction. The name Hope for the Forgotten Outreach is what He gave me. It reflects exactly who we are called to serve: the hurting, the overlooked, and those who feel left behind.
What We Do
Our mission is to bring the hope of Jesus to hurting and forgotten families. We show love in practical ways by helping with small home repairs, delivering appliances, providing food, and stepping into urgent needs when others can't.
Often, these are families who have nowhere else to turn. Our goal is to respond quickly, compassionately, and without judgment, sharing not only what they need in the moment, but the love of Christ along the way.
Our Vision
We want to create a space where people who have been hurt by the church or have never felt welcome can come and experience the love of Jesus.
One day, we hope to have a building to serve and minister to those who won't go to a church. A place where people can hear testimonies, feel safe, and encounter the grace of God without condemnation. A place that opens the door for salvation through love, not pressure.
Our Heart
We believe this ministry exists because there are so many people who have been misled or hurt and are far from Jesus. But God has not given up on them, and neither have we.
He has called us to go out, share His love, meet their needs, and ultimately point them back to Him. We don’t come with judgment. We come with peace, love, and a willingness to serve.
Everything we do is rooted in the Bible. Our values, our beliefs, and our actions all come from the Word of God.

Meet the Founders
Duane and his wife have a heart for families who feel forgotten, and their lives are a testimony of obedience, compassion, and the power of prayer.
After years of mission work and seeking God's direction, they launched Hope for the Forgotten Outreach to bring healing, dignity, and hope to those in crisis.
Through hands-on ministry and the love of Jesus, they continue to serve faithfully. One family, one need, and one act of kindness at a time.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
