A New Bed, a Backup Heater, and Hope for an Elderly Couple
After 37 years on the same bed, a couple facing cancer and winter power outages received the help they needed, thanks to generous donors and faithful volunteers.
Our ministry was recently able to bless an elderly couple with a brand-new queen bed. The husband is currently battling cancer, and the couple had reached out asking for a new full-size mattress they had been sleeping on the same one for 37 years.
During our visit, we also learned that they frequently lose power during the winter months and were in need of a backup heat source. We were able to install a new backup heating unit and also provide them with some food and basic supplies.
