"Do It!": Faith, Bald Tires, and a Journey Made Possible in WV
A chance encounter at a West Virginia gas station led our mission team to notice a local pastor's bald tires. After receiving clear guidance in prayer, we replaced them, later discovering this act of obedience opened the door for an urgent family visit.

Sometimes, mission work happens in unexpected places, like a gas station in McDowell County, West Virginia. That's where my team and I recently met a local pastor whose car tires caught our attention – they were dangerously bald.
We paused and prayed together, asking the Lord for clear direction: should we intervene? His response was direct and unmistakable: "Do It!" That was all the confirmation I needed. I quickly found a local tire shop and arranged for a full set of new tires to be installed on his car. We also filled up his gas tank before sending him on his way.
The pastor expressed his deep gratitude and kindly invited us for a spaghetti dinner at his church. There, we had the chance to meet his wife. She shared a touching story: her sister, living in another state, was very sick, and she had been longing to visit her. However, the unsafe condition of their tires had made the long trip impossible. With tears of relief, she expressed how happy she was that the new tires meant she could finally go see her sister.
It became crystal clear why God had orchestrated that meeting at the gas station and prompted us to act. He saw the deeper need – the wife's inability to travel to her sick sister – and used a simple act of obedience regarding the tires to make that critical journey possible. Praise God for His wisdom and provision!
