From a Camper to a Home. A Life Changed Forever

After learning of a handicapped man living in a rundown camper, we prayed for a better solution. God provided not just a home, but a new heart transformed by Christ.

From a Camper to a Home. A Life Changed Forever

We were contacted by a caretaker who shared that the man she was caring for a handicapped man confined to an electric wheelchair was living in an old camper in a trailer park. The ramp he used to get in and out of the camper was unsafe, and she asked if we could build him a new one.

When we arrived and saw his living conditions, our hearts were broken. I spoke with the park manager to see if there were any better housing options. The manager told us that they had recently purchased an older single-wide trailer that needed some work. They offered to sell it for just $2,500 to help him move out of the camper.

Our ministry didn’t have the funds at the time, so I asked for a little time to raise the money. We went back to the man, shared what we had learned, and then prayed with him for provision.

I started making phone calls and in less than one hour, all the finances came in, along with enough to build a new ramp for his future home. I was so excited to return and tell him that his prayers had been answered.

He was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. The trailer came partially furnished with a refrigerator and stove, which was an added blessing. But the most powerful moment of all was when this man accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Praise God for how He works!

We want to thank every person who gave financially and every volunteer who helped build the ramp. Because of your generosity, this man not only moved into a better home he found eternal hope.
