More Than a Roof: Providing Shelter, Support, and a Symbol of Hope
When we replaced a roof for a local grandmother and her grandchildren, she asked for a special addition: a cross. Learn how we met this need, replaced a broken appliance, and witnessed a powerful testimony of faith.

Our team recently completed a vital project for a local resident – a grandmother caring for her grandchildren whose home desperately needed a new roof. Providing safe and secure shelter was our primary goal, but the project took on deeper meaning through the homeowner's request.
She asked if we would install a cross on the completed roof. Her reason was powerful: she wanted it to be a visible declaration to everyone passing by, showing "what the Lord has done for her and her family." We were moved by her faith and readily incorporated the cross into the final installation.
During our time there, we also discovered her washing machine was out of commission. Recognizing the challenge this posed, especially while caring for children, we were blessed to be able to arrange for a new washing machine for her as well.
This project was a beautiful reminder of how practical help can intersect with profound faith, providing not just physical relief but also reinforcing hope and testimony within our community.
